Empowering Marginalized Artisans of Lucknow
The project is carried with support of Oxfam India. The project aims at strengthening the livelihood of Zardozi artisans particularly women. Majority of them belong to minority community. The condition of women is worst affected, therefore, these women are given quality training at our training & resource centre called “Hunar Ghar”. Many awareness generation camps & activities are organized for the people at Hunar Ghar. FEED is helping these women in developing samples of standard quality & providing market linkages to market their products.
City Livelihood Centre
FEED is running City Livelihood centre in one of the most backward areas of Lucknow city under National Urban Livelihood Mission with the aim to provide suitable employment to the needy people & at the same time facilitating various government schemes.
Computer Literacy & Personality Development Program
We are running computer Literacy & Personality Development Program at our Training cum resource centre. In this program people around the locality including students, women artisans& others are made computer literate. To develop communication skills & enhance their overall personality, sessions are organized on regular basis.
Tailoring & craftsmenship Program
We are running cutting & tailoring classes for the needy women around the locality. Duration of the course is three months & after the completion of the course certificates are provided to the trainees. We also try to ensure employability to them. FEED in partnership with premiere institutes like AIFT& NIFT etc organizes special programs to empower the artisans with design development.
Making Films & Documentaries
We are having dedicated team of experts, researchers & all other necessary resources required to make films & capable to handle such projects successfully. We are producing documentaries on culture & heritage of Awadh & on social issues. Some of documentaries produced by FEED are Life beyond the Golden thread, The Bhands of Awadh, Nishan-e-Lucknow etc.
